Smithtown Bay Vertorama

I stopped by the water on the way home from the post office today, just in time to see the sun setting. Unfortunately I had nothing but my BlackBerry 9700 on me, so I quickly snapped three horizontal shots and stitched them together in Photoshop for this vertorama. I bumped the saturation and increased the highlights ever so slightly.

Lakes and oceans, or any body of water in fact, still never ceases to draw my attention, probably because living in the suburbs away from any body of water has increased the mystique of it. The same goes for mountains. And no, Lake Ontario doesn’t count. That still body of water has absolutely no life or character.
